Landmark: On Thursday, Dr. Rafael Grossmann made history by performing the first surgery while wearing and using Google Glass.

Another milestone in the history of Google Glass was made Thursday when Dr. Rafael Grossmann used the device to record a surgery he was performing.

Grossmann, who is in the Google Explorer program and one of the few to already have glass, wrote about the surgery on his personal blog.

He believed that the platform had great potential for use in healthcare, specifically surgery where it could allow for better intra-operative consultations, mentoring, and education.
